An unlocked vehicle provided easy access for suspect(s) who stole vehicle stereo and golf equipment on Kimberly Drive the night of July 2. The car’s dashboard and console were also damaged for a total loss of $2,900. Between 1:30 and 5:30 a.m. July 3, another car on Kimberly Drive was broken into and vehicle stereo and golf equipment, compact discs, a hydration pack and checks were stolen (a total loss of $4,675).

Burglar(s) apparently used a "slim Jim" to enter a car on Promontory Place. A wallet and music CDs were stolen between 9 p.m. July 6 and noon July 7. Total loss: $1,958.

A car’s convertible top, windshield and two tires had $550 damages and $500 worth of computer software was stolen after burglary and vandalism in the 30800 block of Agoura Road between 5 and 6 p.m. July 4.

A car was vandalized with scratches on the driver’s side and trunk ($500 loss) on Quail Run the night of July 1.

A car had $300 damage after a window was vandalized between noon and 1 p.m. July 4 on Agoura Road.

The loss was $20 after a wallet was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 30300 block of Canwood Street between 8:50 and 9:50 p.m. July 3.

Calabasas


An SUV window was shattered at Las Virgenes Road and Willow Glen the night of July 2 and a laptop computer and an electronic organizer were stolen. The total loss was $2,250.

Gang-like graffiti and a dent caused $1,500 damages to a vehicle, and wall of a motel on Agoura Road was also vandalized with graffiti ($100 loss) the night of July 2.

A lawnmower and weed trimmer totaling a loss of $1,400 were stolen in the 23900 block of Calabasas Road between 7:30 and 8 a.m. July 7.

An unlocked and open rag-top Jeep was targeted in the theft of an in-dash stereo and music CDs. The $1,300 loss occurred the night of July 2 on Lost Hills Road.

The total loss was $1,200 after windows of an SUV were damaged the night of July 2 and a leather duffle bag was stolen. The burglary occurred in the 4200 block of Las Virgenes Road.

The victim left his vehicle windows open (about two or three inches) because it was hot. Later, between 3:10 and 3:40 a.m. July 7 on Arroyo Willow Lane, the vehicle’s burglar alarm activated and a briefcase, a digital assistant, two tape recorders and other items—totaling a loss of $339—were stolen.

It wasn’t initially known if anything was stolen, but a vehicle window had $150 damage on Park Granada after a break-in on July 4 or 5.

Hidden Hills


Spray-painted graffiti caused $100 damage to the exterior wall of an Annie Oakley Road home the night of July 2.


Westlake/T.O.


At 2:30 a.m. July 8 on Tamarack Street, six bags of clothing intended for a worthy cause were stolen from an unlocked vehicle. The total loss was $200.

Westlake Village


On Logwood Road at 2 a.m. July 8, authorities responded to a vehicle burglary call. An unknown male Hispanic had been observed inside the victim’s Honda Civic after a family member had heard a suspicious noise. The suspect (5-7 to 5-8, 160-170) ran to the passenger side of a gold-colored Honda four-door car which was driven away on Oak Rim Drive. It appeared the suspect had been trying to steal the car (there were $225 damages to its ignition and dashboard.)

A door’s deadbolt lock had $150 damage and four packages containing unknown contents were stolen after a business in the 31200 block of La Baya Drive was burglarized between July 3 and 7. The packages had been delivered earlier and were being held for the recipient.
