Agoura High student dies at 19

Eric Paul Eychner, 19, passed away on Oct. 12 after a lifelong battle against seizures. He was a senior at Agoura High School. His courageous spirit enabled him to live life to the fullest despite the health challenges he endured, and his loving, upbeat personality endeared Eric to family and friends, who deeply mourn his loss.

Eric is survived by his parents, Pam and Dave; his grandparents, Bessie and Paul Barrozo and Irene and Clyde Eychner, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends including his Tibetan terrier, Spanky.

Funeral services for Eric were conducted on Oct. 16 at Woodland Hills Community Church. An avid fisherman, he was to be laid to rest in Montana, "a short cast away from his favorite fishing hole."

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the Epilepsy Foundation of Los Angeles at (213) 382-7337.
