Agoura High School student to attend leadership coneference

Alisha Lawson, an Agoura High School junior, has been selected to participate in the National Student Leadership Conference (NSLC) on International Diplomacy, a leadership development program for outstanding high school students.

During the conference, students attend special workshops and participate in a Model United Nations Simulation where they take on the roles of delegates. Special guest speakers add a sense of reality and bring current national and international issues to life.

Through participation in this 11-day program, students develop their abilities to think on their feet, to engage in critical analysis, and to communicate effectively.

The NSLC mission is to identify and recognize outstanding young leaders from around the world, and to provide them with a unique learning environment that encourages not only academic achievement, but also diversity, cooperation and social responsibility.

The NSLC also offers leadership conferences on "Mastering Leadership," "Law & Advocacy" and "Medicine & Health Care." For additional program information, students should call (800) 994-6752 or visit www.NSLCleaders.org.
