Agoura accepts grant requests

The City of Agoura Hills is accepting grant applications from organizations and charitable groups that provide services to the Agoura Hills community.

The Community Outreach Grant Program offers these groups the chance to obtain financial subsidies from the city to maintain existing programs and, in some cases, to launch new ones.

In the past, the city has subsidized a variety of groups, including Many Mansions, Triunfo YMCA and the Conejo/Las Virgenes Future Foundation.

Agoura High School has also been the recipient of city grants for many years. The money has helped pay for the theater and music programs, grad night, environmental events hosted at the school and other programs.

Individual grant awards range from $500 to $3,000 per group depending on the services they provide. The total budget for city grants generally totals between $15,000 and $20,000.

Grant applications are available from the city manager’s department at Agoura Hills City Hall, 30001 Ladyface Court.

Applications must be submitted no later than 4 p.m. Thurs., April 28.
