Act of kindness

On April 15, I went to Trader Joe’s in the Westlake portion of Thousand Oaks. I immediately saw a parking space and pulled in.

Just as I pulled in, a car pulled into the parking space to the right of me. I looked and noticed that the car was close to me, and that I had lots of room to the left.

I therefore pulled out and went back into the spot, giving the woman to the right of me more room to get out of her car.

She got out of her car and thanked me for providing her with additional space. I said I was more than happy to do that since there was more space to the left of my car.

I happened to notice she had a support on her knee. She explained to me that she had returned to her car some days ago in another shopping center. The car next to her was so close, that when she tried to enter the vehicle, she hurt her knee.

We chatted for a few minutes and then went into Trader Joe’ s to do our shopping.

When I came out to my car, her car was gone. I went around to the driver’s side to get in and that is when I saw two bouquets of daffodils in the door handle.

I was so taken buy her random act of kindness. I wish I could have thanked the woman in person who left me the flowers.

But my hope is that at least this message reaches her. Thank you so much for the beautiful flowers and for your kindness.
