The Acorn Newspapers took home six first-place and seven second-place honors at the California News Publishers Association’s Better Newspapers Contest awards ceremony held April 14 in Sonoma. The CNPA is a nonprofit trade association representing the daily and weekly newspapers of California.
Judges from around the state reviewed more than 3,000 entries from papers large and small. The Acorn competes against other weeklies with a circulation over 25,001.
