39 years old
I read with interest about The Acorn’s 30th anniversary article in the Nov. 18 issue, and I have to tell you that I think The Acorn is actually 39.
My stepfather is Bill Poremba. We moved with my family to Agoura in August of 1964. He had already started work on the predecessor to The Acorn, which was the Agoura Valley News (not the Shopper News) in late 1964 and was publishing regular editions in early 1965.
