The National Weather Service is predicting an avalanche will hit the area any day now—an avalanche of political mail.
With campaign coffers filling at a record-breaking pace and the June 3 primary less than two months away, conditions are ripe for the kind of candidate carpet-bombing California voters have come to abhor.
In just a matter of weeks, residents can expect to find their mailboxes stuffed to the brim with those glossy, brightly colored pamphlets full of candidate chest-thumping...
