Rate increase for Triunfo

Triunfo Sanitation District officials unanimously approved increases for potable and recycled water customers at a meeting on Oct. 22.

Triunfo serves more than 30,000 residents of east Ventura County, including the Westlake portion of Thousand Oaks, Oak Park, Lake Sherwood and Bell Canyon. The district also owns and operates Oak Park Water Service.

The agency purchases its potable and reclaimed water from the Calleguas Municipal Water District, which buys most of its potable water from the Metropolitan Water District.

The average monthly bill for ratepayers in singlefamily homes in Oak Park is $82.50. As of Jan. 1, the cost for potable water will increase by about $2.40. A unit is 748 gallons.

Sanitation charges for single-family homes in the Triunfo service area will remain unchanged at $41.80 a month. The sanitation fees are billed yearly on the homeowner’s property tax bill.
