Sometimes it’s good to sit back and watch the screen … but listen to the audience.
At the May 19 opening of “Everything Everything,” audience members in the packed theater were “oohing” and “aaahing” at all the right moments. At times, they were drowning out the dialogue, which was OK because what the characters were saying and doing was often trite, melodramatic and not very emotionally engaging.
