A hot night of laughs at Hillcrest center

Live Standup Comedy on the Hill returns at 8 p.m. Sat., Aug. 10 at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts, 403 W. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks.

Doors open at 7:30 p.m.

July’s lineup has Robert G. Lee, Jeff Johnson, Forrest Shaw and Jim McDonald.

Professional local comedian Jason Love will host and produce the monthly show, which features a new lineup each month with Hollywood headliners.

All tickets are reserved seating and are available three months in advance.

The 90-minute show is for ages 18 and up only. Beer and wine may be purchased with valid ID. Summer shows are often outdoors under the stars.

Lee is a veteran warm-up comic of over 1,500 episodes of such shows as “The New Adventures of Old Christine,” “Just Shoot Me,” “Becker” and “The Drew Carey Show.” His job is to keep audiences entertained between scenes and costume and set changes with ad-libs and humorous interviews.

On camera, Lee has been seen on “Bananas” TV series, “The Joke’s On Thee,” “Stand Up Spotlight,” “Comic Strip Live” and on sitcoms such as “Wings” and “Perfect Strangers.”

Forrest Shaw is a stand-up comedian and writer for “The Jim Jefferies Show.” His stand-up has been featured on “Conan” and “Live at Gotham.”

As an actor he has appeared on “Legit,” “The Jim Jefferies Show” and “Swamp Wars.”

His album “Mister Grizzly” can be heard on Sirius/XM Satellite radio, Pandora and Spotify. He is co-host of “The Jim Jefferies Show” podcast.

Forrest is also co-writer and lead actor of the award-winning web series “Labor Days.” He has also been featured in numerous comedy festivals.

McDonald has performed on “The Late Show with David Letterman” and “The Late Show with Craig Ferguson.” He’s also been seen on NBC, A&E, Comedy.com and Showtime.

Tickets are $15 for reserved premium seats and $12 for reserved seats presale. All tickets at the door are $15 on the day of show. Parking is free.
