76-year-old man convicted in crime spree dies in jail

Ronald Snyder—an elderly man convicted for a 2013 Hidden Hills crime spree that included robbery, burglary, assault with a deadly weapon and impersonating a peace officer—died in jail Oct. 5 shortly after he began serving a 16-year prison term for the crime.
He died of natural causes, the sheriff’s department said.
Snyder, a 76-year-old Chatsworth man, previously owned a home in the gated community of Hidden Hills.
