Restaurants were the hardest hit industry during the pandemic, with a reported 110,000 nationwide eateries going out of business in 2020.

The National Restaurant Association said food establishments lost an estimated $240 billion in sales last year, with four out of 10 restaurants shutting their doors due to the COVID-19 attack.
