New medical research center in dermatology to soon make its home in Newbury Parks

Grand opening is Thurs., July 20

An advanced state-of-theart dermatology research and comprehensive treatment center, the first facility of its type in the Conejo Valley, will open next week.

The official grand opening of the California Institute of Dermatology will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. Thurs., July 20 at 3095 Old Conejo Road, Newbury Park.

“The focus of our work is to develop and deliver a new level of understanding in this very important area of health science,” says Dr. Navid Ezra, founder of the institute. “This will enable us to share and apply the latest breakthroughs into the causes and manifestations of dermatological disease.”

Ezra is also assistant clinical professor of dermatology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.

Previously, he served as chief resident of quality improvement for the Department of Dermatology at Indiana University School of Medicine.
