Come Bach to Epiphany for more music

Epiphany Music Guild will present Bach-stravaganza! at 5 p.m. Sun., April 30 at Church of the Epiphany, 5450 Churchwood Drive, Oak Park.

The concert will feature Oak Baroque Chamber Ensemble, a group of professional musicians on period instruments who play using historically informed performance practice.

The musicians are: Susan Feldman, Janet Strauss and Amy Wang on violin; Suzanna Giordano Gignac on viola; Leif Woodward on cello; Millie Martin on bass; and Jay Wilcox on harpsichord.

The program will include Johann Sebastian Bach’s Sonata VI in G major for violin and harpsichord obbligato; Concerto V in F minor for harpsichord and strings; Suite III in C major for cello solo, and Concerto in A minor for violin, strings and continuo.

Appetizers and wine will be served.

The suggested donation is $25 for adults, $15 for seniors and $5 for children.
