They’ll toast the value of public speaking
Sheraton Agoura Hills Hotel welcomes District 33 Toastmasters
The conference will include District Level Table Topics and International Speech contests and many educational sessions.
Organizers expect around 200 Toastmasters to attend this event.
The special guest will be Region 2 international director and Distinguished Toastmaster Jim Kohli from Toastmasters International World Headquarters.
The event is open to both Toastmasters members and nonmembers.
Attendees will have the opportunity to hear speeches and network with people with different experiences and backgrounds.
The conference will begin Friday night with refreshments, presentations and the Hall of Fame awards ceremony to recognize the achievements of individual
Toastmasters’ members and clubs.
Saturday’s events will include a keynote presentation by Distinguished Toastmaster Jim Key, 2003 World Champion of Public Speaking. Key will also present an educational breakout session on how attendees can rapidly improve their speaking abilities.
Distinguished Toastmaster Sheryl Roush will give an educational presentation how attendees can get the most out of their Toastmasters experience.
The District Level Table Topics contest will take place during lunch. The International Speech Contest will take place during dinner.
The winner of the International Speech Contest will advance to compete for the title of 2017 World Champion of Public Speaking at the Toastmasters International Convention in Vancouver, Canada.
