Gerald A. Collier
January 10, 1942 - March 11, 2017
Gerald Alan Collier, a longtime resident of the area, died on March 11, 2017, at Kaiser Hospital due to complications from a prior surgery. Gerry, as he was known to all his friends, moved to Agoura in 1982 after purchasing the shopping center known as Agoura Meadows located in the heart of the City of Agoura Hills. He continued to own the center until his death.
A native of California, Gerry was a graduate of Downey High School and of the University of Southern California’s School of Law, specializing in estate planning. In 1990 he semi retired from his law practice and concentrated on his property investments. A worldwide traveler, Gerry visited more than 75 countries. He was an avid reader and a Civil War, World War I and II history buff. For the past 20 years, Gerry dedicated his leisure time to the game of bridge, achieving many numerous awards for his game expertise.
Gerry was survived by his wife Karen, daughters Julie Collier Kolber, Kristin Conway and Quinn Vogel, sister Connie Raabe, brother Larry Collier, and 6 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother Ray Collier.
A MEMORIAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD ON Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Calvary Skyline Church • 101 N. Skyline Drive, Thousand Oaks The service will begin at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to charities in Gerry’s name.
