Auditions open for ‘Peter Pan’
Cabrillo Music Theatre will hold auditions for a new production of the Tony Award-winning musical “Peter Pan” that will run July 14 through 23 in the Kavli Theatre, Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza.
The play is based on J.M. Barrie’s tale, with score by Morris “Moose” Charlap and Jule Styne and lyrics by Carolyn Leigh, Betty Comden and Adolph Green.
The director is Yvette Lawrence with choreography by Cheryl Baxter and musical direction by Dan Redfeld.
Rehearsals begin June 10 for non-Equity performers and June 19 for Equity actors.
The Equity call for principal roles will be from 10:15 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mon., Feb. 27 at Madilyn Clark Studios, 10852 Burbank Blvd., North Hollywood.
The following auditions for non-Equity actors will be at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts, 403 W. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks.: The first dance call will be at 10 a.m. Sat., Feb. 25, followed by appointments from 2 to 7 p.m.
Appointments continue from 1 to 5 p.m. Sun., Feb. 26, with a dance call at 6 p.m.
Auditions will also run from 2:30 to 11 p.m. Tues., Feb. 28.
Auditions and callbacks are by appointment only. Actors should bring a picture and resume.
All roles are open and available to nonunion performers. Actors’ Equity contracts are available for some roles. There is pay for all roles 18 years and up.
