Red Cross seeks blood donations
The American Red Cross encourages eligible donors to make an appointment to give blood or platelets to help meet the need for blood this winter.
Donors with all blood types are needed.
Following are the upcoming blood donation opportunities:
Simi Valley: From 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sun., Jan. 8 at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, 5649 Pittman St.
Thousand Oaks: From 2 to 8 p.m. Thurs., Jan. 12 at MB2 Raceway, 1475 Lawrence Drive.
Westlake Village: From 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sun., Jan. 15 at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, 5801 Kanan Road.
A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age, weigh at least 110 pounds and are in good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 18 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.
