Teen earns Eagle Scout ranking


PROTECT AND PRESERVE—Carlin Humphries tends the plants in Pt. Dume State Park in Malibu. The 18-year-old from Agoura Hills recently completed a project that helped to preserve and protect the natural vegetation in the park. He received his Eagle Scout ranking on Dec. 22. Humphries is a sophomore at Brigham Young University and working on a degree combining economics, political science and international relations.
