‘Jekyll & Hyde’ at CLU
California Lutheran University’s Creative Arts Division will present “Jekyll & Hyde” at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and at 2:30 p.m. Sundays from April 20 through 29 in the Janet and Ray Scherr Forum Theatre at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, 2100 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd.
Based on Robert Louis Stevenson’s story about a doctor whose experiments with human personality create a murderous counterpart, “Jekyll & Hyde” will include songs such as “This is the Moment,” “Once Upon a Dream” and “Someone Like You.”
Senior Brent Ramirez, a former bank manager from Simi Valley who returned to school to study theater arts, will play Jekyll/ Hyde.
Oak Park resident Kristi Mc- Clave, a junior psychology major who has sung with pop rock bands and performed a song on the “Legally Blonde 2” soundtrack, will play Lucy Harris, the main attraction at a nightclub.
Also starring in the production will be senior theater arts major Martha Sadie Griffin as Jekyll’s fiancée; senior theater arts major Jordan Skinner as Jekyll’s lawyer and best friend; senior music major Jeffrey Shaner as Emma’s father; and sophomore theater arts major Ashton Williams as manager of the Red Rat.
