In addition to its calming effects, a facial can awaken the senses, restore the skin’s surface and remove toxins to promote healing, local salon owner Staci Grisham advises her customers.

“Having healthy, beautiful skin is something we all strive for,” said Grisham, owner of Staci’s Skin Care Salon in the Agoura Hills City Mall.

Grisham started working in the front office of the Enchanted Garden salon in 1998 to help family friend Connie Norman establish her business.

Grisham greeted customers at the Enchanted Garden for 11 years, developing relationships with people who would stop by while running errands just to say hello to her.

After Norman sold the salon about four years ago, Grisham returned to school to obtain her esthetician license, then worked as an independent contractor at the Enchanted Garden for about a year before moving to another salon in Westlake Village.

Upon learning that the Enchanted Garden was again for sale in June 2011, Grisham purchased the salon and remodeled it with a lavender-and-purple theme to create a relaxing and comfortable environment for her clients.

She reopened the business in July under a new banner.

“ I decided to go with the name Staci’s Skin Care because I wanted people to make that association with me,” the local businesswoman said.

The salon has a comfy front office and three private treatment rooms where customers can receive personalized beauty care and advice.

Services include facials, airbrush tanning, face and body waxing, eyelash care and body treatments to soften and relax the skin.

The salon serves clientele from teenagers to seniors, said Grisham, who provides acne treatment for the teenagers and preventive and anti-aging care for men and women.

But the most important part of the business is creating relationships with clients, she said.

“The goal is to make people feel good. When people come in for treatment, they get results. We’re very passionate about what we do and very professional.”

Robin Broussard, an esthetician at Staci’s Skin Care, said Grisham is a warm and loving individual.

“She’s caring and giving. She remembers everybody’s name, and she has a very good relationship with her clients,” said Broussard, who has known Grisham for about four years.

Longtime client Cindy Simmons said Grisham is a comforting and beloved presence in the community.

“When Staci came back (to the salon) it was like going home. She surrounds herself with people that are like her—angelic, ethical and positive,” the local school teacher said.

“It’s a comfort to have her near.”

Staci’s Skin Care Salon is also home to esthetician and makeup artist Stacey Selter and Lesley Cohen, who works in the front office. The salon also has a registered Med Spa nurse, Anne Saffell, who offers a variety of Botox and laser treatments.
