Indian dancer to tell tales at Oak Park Library
The Oak Park Library will present “Stories from India with Purvi,” featuring saris, songs and stories, at 10:30 a.m. Thurs., Oct. 20 at the library, 899 N. Kanan Road. Purvi will share her Indian culture, heritage and tradition.
Purvi, an East Indian native, is a storytime volunteer for the Simi Valley and Oak Park libraries.
She is formally trained as an Indian classical dancer and is training as an Indian classical vocalist.
She has a master’s degree in marriage, family and child counseling. Purvi has two daughters.
