Rummage sale at OPHS

Oak Park High School Athletic Booster Club will host its second annual rummage sale from 7 to 11 a.m. Sat., Oct. 1 in the school parking lot.

Eight athletic teams will individually collect and sell goods to benefit their teams. According to rummage sale chair Michelle Bock, eight teams will participate in this year’s fundraiser.

The boys’ football, baseball, basketball and lacrosse teams will each host a space in the parking lot.

Also participating are Oak Park’s cross country team, and the girls’ lacrosse and volleyball teams. Oak Park High’s cheer squad will also sell items to raise funds for competitions, uniforms and other necessities.

Each team will keep the proceeds from its specific sale, Bock said.

The public is invited to donate items to the rummage sale. Bock said people can designate what sport they want the proceeds from their donations to support or the money will be split among the teams if a team is not identified.

For information about donating clothes, books, sporting equipment, toys, furniture and other items, email Bock at michellebock@yahoo.com or call her at (818) 390-0917.
