Outlook: The Eagles continue to search for their first win of the young season.

Following a pair of poor offensive performances to start the year, Oak Park’s offense came to life during last weekend’s 51-34 loss at home to Chino.

In the defeat, OPHS sophomore quarterback Nick Koshofer completed 14-of-29 passes for 239 yards with five touchdowns and a pair of interceptions.

The Eagle rushing attack, however, managed only 30 yards on 11 carries.

This week’s foe, Paraclete, allowed 13 combined points in its first two games before giving up 23 points in a win last week against Valencia of Placentia.

This is a tough test for Oak Park.

St. Bonnie (2-0) at Oaks Christian (1-1)

Outlook: This mega matchup will be streamed live online on www.foxsportswest.com.

St. Bonaventure has played lights out during victories over Centennial and Royal. Oaks Christian, on the other hand, may have quarterback issues.

Sophomore Brandon Dawkins replaced junior Luke Falk midway through the first quarter of Week 2’s win at Agoura.

Lions head coach Bill Redell said Dawkins needed game action.

Dawkins completed all six of his pass attempts, three of which went to pay dirt. Falk threw a touchdown after being re-inserted into the lineup later in the contest.

Redell said he expects to name a starter today, adding that both guys are likely to see time behind center.
