Teen rock band JetStream will host a special benefit concert Sat., July 9 at The Canyon club in Agoura in honor of former classmate Taylor Messina, who died from cancer two years ago at age 15.

JetStream will be joined by four other local bands. Doors will open for the raffle and silent auction at 6 p.m. The first band will perform at 7 p.m.

Proceeds will benefit the Taylor Messina Butterfly Scholarship Fund, which is awarded to a graduating senior at Oak Park High.

This year’s scholarship was awarded to Kori Denning.

The Canyon is at 28912 Roadside Drive, Agoura Hills.
