Tri-Valley League salutes spring stars
The Tri-Valley League has announced its all-league standouts for spring season high school sports.
Multiple Oak Park, Oaks Christian and La Reina student-athletes were honored by the TVL. They are listed below:
SOFTBALL
Kiana Quolas of Oaks Christian is the Tri-Valley League’s Most Valuable Player in softball. Quolas helped the Lions win a CIF-Southern Section Division 3 championship this spring.
Lion skipper Peter Ackermann is Coach of the Year.
First-team standouts include Oaks Christian’s Leah Bleichner, Hanah Roberg, Savannah Carpenter and Karli Rumburg; Christie Langlois, Morgan Schlobohm, Kelsey Haines and Morgan Simmons of Oak Park; and La Reina’s Jordan Needle and Christine Costello.
Second-team players are Oaks Christian’s Kelly Spear, Nicole Leonard and Kahala Bonsignore; Carly Silliman, Kelsey Jensen and Emily Dinino of Oak Park; and La Reina’s Michelle Smith and Dani Marietta.
Honorable mention nods went to Oaks Christian’s Hailey Moore, Haley Downey and Ava Jensen; Lara Felixson, Delaney Kaupp and Nicole Quance of La Reina; and Oak Park’s Taylor Deshotel.
BASEBALL
Evan Ocello of Oaks Christian, a senior center fielder, is the Tri- Valley League’s MVP in baseball.
First team: Oaks Christian’s Travis Radke, Trevor Gretzky, Drew Hacker and Cole Taylor; and Oak Park’s Nick Morelli and Eric Henderson.
Second team: Oak Park’s Bradley Lezak; and Blake McFadden, Michael Gose and Josh Davis of Oaks Christian.
Honorable mention: Oaks Christian’s Brandon Evans, Phillip Bickford and Eric Moersen; and Oak Park’s Jonathan Katz, Jackson Hall and Andrew Gordon.
BOYS’ TENNIS
Kevin Bondar of Oaks Christian is the boys’ tennis singles MVP. Lion teammates Matt Gazarra and Ridge Kennington shared the doubles MVP award.
Oaks Christian’s Thomas Ryan and Brian Pugh are on the first team.
Second team: Oaks Christian’s Mason Lewis, Sean Ryan and Adam Alberstone; Kevin Marks and Anish Puri of Oak Park.

Oak Park’s Bradley Sakaida and Oaks Christian’s Carter Franciskovic shared MVP honors in boys’ volleyball.

Oaks Christian’s Wes Smith is the Coach of the Year for the girls’ and boys’ track and field teams.
