Calabasas officials say a  number of voters have informed the city that they are receiving telephone calls from a company claiming to be conducting an election survey on behalf of the city of Calabasas.
    The survey reportedly is a fraud.
    The city says it has not attempted to contact any Calabasas voters on their voting preferences, nor has the city sanctioned any third party or polling firm to conduct a survey.
    Elections officials are conducting an inquiry into the matter and say they will take necessary steps to prevent further misrepresentation to Calabasas voters regarding the matter.
    The City Council election is March 8. The deadline for voter registration is Feb. 22.
