Friends rally to help Oak Park woman in fight for her life
Three fundraisers are helping to support Oak Park resident Kimberly Liebe in her fight against stage four lung cancer and to create a trust in the name of her 3-year-old son.
•The Benefit Kim Concert took place Nov. 17 at The Canyon club in Agoura Hills.
The concert featured performances by local artists Rhythm Method, Kristin Lawson and Merrick McMahon, FNGB, Upedo and Suede Grenade. A silent auction featured more than 40 items, including a signed guitar in The Canyon club collection.
Proceeds from the concert, silent auction and bull rides were donated to Liebe’s family.
•Kim’s Cause Garage Sale will take place at 8 a.m. Sat., Nov. 20 at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, 5801 N. Kanan Road, Westlake Village.
The garage sale will feature furniture, home goods, clothing, baby items and toys donated by Kolbe’s Korner Preschool and church families.
All proceeds will be donated to Liebe’s family and unsold items will be donated to charity. •Aveda Salon in the Calabasas Commons will host a cut-athon for Liebe on Sun., Nov. 21. Stylists will donate commissions and tips earned from haircuts, coloring, facials and waxing to the Liebe family.
