Trapped in elevator, church goers find calm in ‘Amazing Grace’

PEACE UNDER PRESSURE—Pastor Brad Johnson, youth minister/music director Josh Cobia and two members of Life Change Community Church thank firefighters for rescuing them after they were trapped for nearly 45 minutes in an elevator. The church meets weekly at the Edwards Grand Palace Theater 6 at the Calabasas Commons. Last Sunday, 14 people became caught in one of the theater elevators. Though anxious and uncomfortable, the group found comfort by singing “Amazing Grace” while they waited for help from the L.A. County Fire Department.
