Music for Heart hosts ‘Night of Hope’
The Agoura Hills-based Music for Heart Foundation will host its annual gala, “Night of Hope” from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. Sat., May 22 at the Calabasas Inn.
The event will feature Brazilian dancers, music and food as well as prizes, silent and live auctions and casino-style gaming including blackjack, craps, roulette and poker.
Guests will also have the opportunity to stroll through a reproduction of a typical Salvadorian village where many children are in need of corrective cardiac intervention.
Proceeds from this event will go directly toward saving the lives of children in need of heart surgery who lack access to the necessary medical and financial resources.
Music for Heart Foundation is one of the 66 global affiliates of Gift of Life International. These two organizations are working together to involve medical professionals from around the world in support of the “Our Hearts are in El Salvador” program.
In February of this year, a team of medical professionals and volunteers traveled to El Salvador where 113 children were screened and diagnosed with congenital heart disease. Three children will be arriving in Los Angeles in June to receive surgery.
Tickets for the gala are $100 and include $200 in Casino Cash, hors d’oeuvres, dinner and entertainment.
