I would like to extend my gratitude to Jana Orkney and public servants like her who put in so much work for this community and make difficult decisions that they know might be unpopular. More ... I fully expected to see a letter such as that from Mr. Craig Kronfeld in response to the Triunfo Sanitation District’s implementation of higher water rates for the Oak Park Water Service customers. My bill was also astronomically higher, despite concerted efforts to reduce my usage. I understand Mr. Kronfeld’s frustration, but his anger is misdirected. More ... Triunfo Sanitation District spent considerable funds commissioning a 2007 study by Boyle Engineering comparing costs of two Conifer water tank replacement sites. Despite the recommendations of TSD staff, the board chaired by Janna Orkney selected a site which Boyle estimated to cost nearly $1 million more than the alternative. More ...
