Though our family is not affiliated with St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, we have attended numerous events at the church—happy occasions, notso-happy occasions. When I learned of the untimely passing of Father O'Dwyer, my heart and kind thoughts went out to the church, its members and those dear to Father O'Dwyer, and there were many. More ... It's so sad to read that the equestrian community of Hidden Hills had no public comment for a man who thinks having wild parties where exotic animals are exposed to drunken loud obnoxious partying predators is okay. More ... Once again The Acorn editorialist is complaining about having to pay for schools, Oak Park in particular. He would like to see the Oak Park Unified School District absorbed into the huge Conejo Valley school district. He states the schools simply aren't willing to try to save money. More ... Seems to me that city resources are being wasted, if not misdirected, by having city employees driving around each Saturday and Sunday morning to tear down yard sale signs which were only put up by city taxpayers/ homeowners just moments before. Our government confiscates our money in the form of taxes and similarly keeps banks that have died artificially alive, and they in turn suck our blood by taking our homes in foreclosure. More ... |
