Calmont camp offers unique program
Engineering, drama added to summer camp
      Engineering with Lego from Play-Well TEKnologies and dramatic theater with Kathie Gibboney are two new programs at Calmont Summer Day Camp this year. The camp will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 10 to 29 at Cottontail Ranch in Calabasas, nestled in 22 acres in Las Virgenes Canyon.

Agoura High student enters USC honors program
      Megan Pelter has been selected to participate in the Resident Honors Program at USC. She was one of 33 students selected from a nationwide search to participate in this early entrance honors program. She has been awarded a dean's scholarship from USC.

Acting classes for kids
      Valley West Actors Space is offering ongoing professional acting classes for children, teens and adults at 22743 Ventura Blvd., Calabasas. Chamber presents scholarships
      The Calabasas Chamber of Commerce honored six local graduating middle and high school students with awards and scholarships. The 2009 Education and Scholarship Award honorees were acknowledged at a Calabasas City Council meeting last month.
