Board to discuss controversial cellphone tower
I love a success story. While it may be early to say that the proposed cell tower at Lindero Canyon Middle School are no longer going to be erected, I am encouraged by the Las Virgenes Unified School District school board's decision to look into the health and safety issues of radio frequency emissions, particularly where children are affected.

RF exposure hurts students
I am writing this letter in response to the proposed 45-foot cellular tower aimed for the Lindero Canyon Middle School campus. As a resident of the Lake Lindero community and a parent of a child who attends Las Virgenes Unified School District, the proposed cell tower will affect me and some of my fellow residents on two levels.

Expert worries about exposure
Parents and community members ought to consider the concerns being raised by some parents about a proposed cellular antenna site at Lindero Canyon Middle School, A.E. Wright and other Las Virgenes Unified School District school sites. Superintendent Zimring and the LVUSD board have scheduled an informational meeting to discuss this proposal at 6 p.m. Tues.

Response to 'crybaby' letter
Regarding William Felsman's July 2 letter, "Teachers today are overpaid crybabies," I've gotta admit that a California classroom was a different world in those days. You'd get no argument from me on that account, to be sure.

There is religion, but we mess it up
It seems that every religion claims its own god: Judaism, Catholicism, Islam, Buddhism, Wiccan. Or no god at all in the case of the atheists. Or maybe a god in the case of agnostics. It is my firm conviction that in this universe we live in—if there is a god or creator—there is only one god or there is no god at all.

Eagle Scout thanks supporters
I would just like to say thank you for mentioning my Eagle Scout project in your June 18 article about Monica Greske's greenhouse at Meda Creek Middle School. I would also like to give thanks to local businesses that helped make my project successful.

Eliminate waste
I'm a resident of Oak Park and am conscious of the high economic level of this neighborhood. However, I'm most surprised at the lack of respect for certain streets: Lindero, Bowfield and Golden Eagle. If you take a walk around these streets, they are full of dog excrement.
