ISWest helps city relieve Kanan traffic

ISWest, an Agoura Hills information technology company, helped the city deploy a computerized traffic signal synchronization system to relieve traffic congestion on Kanan Road near the 101 Freeway.

Cameras at the intersection allow engineers to manually adjust the traffic signals and ease congestion. About 25,000 vehicles use the intersection daily.

"This project was important to the city and its daily drivers," said Ramiro Adeva, city engineer. "The goal of synchronization is to get the greatest number of vehicles through the system with the fewest stops."
