Local YMCAs offer beach trips, movies as part of summer teen camps

The Conejo Valley YMCA, Triunfo YMCA and Simi Valley Family YMCA will offer teen summer camps through August 21.

•The Conejo Valley YMCA serving Thousand Oaks and Moorpark and the Simi Valley Family YMCA are both hosting Teen Extreme day camps for sixth- through eighth-graders.

Campers go on field trips every day of the camp week. Activities include swimming, the beach and trips to Magic Mountain, Hurricane Harbor and City Walk.

•The Triunfo YMCA, serving Westlake Village, Agoura Hills and Oak Park, will have Teen Scene Camp for youths entering sixth through eighth grades.

Teen Scene goes to the beach every Monday and Friday. Campers take part in local field trips such as movies, roller skating and laser tag on Tuesdays.

Wednesdays are trips to the park and pool for swimming. Thursdays are field trips to sites such as Magic Mountain, Disneyland and Third Street Promenade.

Campers can attend by individual week or for the entire camp schedule.
