      The Fourth of July is a time to celebrate our American heritage. No matter who you are and regardless of your politics (or whether you could care less about politics), if you're an American, Independence Day is a time to celebrate.

      In a tease on last week's front page of The Acorn , it was stated that an Oak Park High School guidance counselor was leaving her post. Tess Wilkoff will be returning to OPHS next year. A June 11 article about the Benson House incorrectly identified the home's architectural style. The style is called deconstructivism.
