Heart Foundation honors chef

The Westlake Village-based Heart Foundation at Cedars Sinai Medical Center honored Wolfgang Puck last month with the Steven S. Cohen Humanitarian Award.

Puck, a celebrity chef, restaurateur and philanthropist, owns Wolfgang Puck L.A. Bistro in Westlake Village. He is committed to providing food made with fresh, healthy and organic ingredients from local farms and humanely raised animal products.

Puck is involved in raising money for charitable organizations, including Meals on Wheels of Los Angeles, the American Cancer Society, Special Olympics and the Alzheimer's Association.

The Heart Foundation's goal is to prevent, cure and eradicate heart disease, the leading cause of death for men and women in the U. S.
