Lightning rebound in second season
Pro hoops squad will enter playoffs with a winning record
      A couple Los Angeles basketball teams won big games Sunday. The Los Angeles Lightning, a pro team in the International Basketball League that plays its home games at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, reached a season-high in points during a 160-123 victory over Grand Rapids Flight.

Seeger shines at Poppy Hills
      A storybook ending it wasn't, but the Westlake High boys' golf team still had plenty of reasons to celebrate one of the most successful seasons in school history. Westlake finished in third place during last week's CIF/ CGA Boys Golf Championship at Poppy Hills.

Eagles swoop in, nab lacrosse title
     MEN IN BLACK—The Oak Park Eagles eighth-grade team won the Southern California Lacrosse Association championship and completed an undefeated season with a 12-0-1 record. Agoura basketball stars dominate War on the Floor
      Agoura High senior-to-be Brittany Oster scored 30 points and grabbed 15 rebounds to lead the East All-Stars over the West, 10399, in double overtime during last weekend's War on the Floor/Future Stars game at Taft High at Woodland Hills.

Athletes from Oak Park, OCHS earn TVL accolades
      The TriValley League recently announced its All-League teams for spring sports. Many Oaks Christian and Oak Park athletes were honored by the TVL. Boys' volleyball Eric Varney of Oak Park is the TVL's Most Valuable Player in boys' volleyball.

Martin leaves CHS to coach at Simi Valley
      Lance Martin has accepted the head football coaching position at Simi Valley High. Martin coached the Calabasas varsity squad for the past two years, leading the Coyotes to a 2-18 overall record and helping snap the program's 44game losing streak.
