Agoura High grads soar into future
      Emerson Wahl Valedictorian Emerson Wahl will attend the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis after he graduates from Agoura High. Emerson has earned numerous awards and recognition for academic achievement and has set a standard of superior citizenship at the school.

      Joel Barr, Agoura High School counselor emeritus, says he's old enough to retire but young enough to forge an exciting new path in life. Barr has spent 12 of his 37 years in education counseling students at Agoura High School.

Calabasas grads are on their way
      Danielle Weisberg Danielle Weisberg claimed the Most Valuable Musician award in 2008, earned first place at the United Spirit Association Nationals for "Hey Mickey" and was named "Most Improved Actress" in 2008. Danielle plays with the Jazz A Band as the saxophone section leader and served as director of Bare Rhythm, another musical group.

Calabasas High is 'distinguished'
      Calabasas High School was designated a 2009 California Distinguished School for many reasons, including its student support and math peer tutoring programs. The "distinguished" designation places the school among the top 11 percent of the state's 2,400 middle and high schools, said Principal C.J. Foss.

      Amanda Cox An outgoing scholar athlete, Amanda Cox was on Oak Park High's soccer team for four years, serving as captain and named Most Valuable Player for two years, as well as playing club soccer for three years. She was also on the softball team all four years and named All-League for two years.

Indian Hills High adjusts to new campus
      Indian Hills High School, an alternative school in the Las Virgenes Unified School District, moved to the Agoura High School campus this year. District officials rented out the Calabasas building that had previously housed the school to a private academy in order to bridge state budget shortfalls.

Class president going for the 'American Dream'
      Indian Hills High School Class President Geoffrey Garcia is determined to achieve the American dream. A graduate of the People to People Ambassadors program, an educational program that connects students around the world, Geoffrey used the experience to sharpen his math and science skills. Program administrators evaluated his potential as an engineer.
