Tri-County Heart Association still short of goal to fund research scientist
      The American Heart Association, TriCounty Division has announced it will finish the fiscal year having raised more funds to fight heart disease and stroke than in the previous year. The division is still $60,000 short of its 2008-09 income goal, the amount necessary to fund a research scientist.

Loving Heart Hospice to host 5/10K Love Walk
      The Loving Heart Hospice Foundation will host a 5/10K Love Walk Sat., July 4 at Tierra Rejada Park, 11900 Mountain Trail Drive, Moorpark. Registration begins at 7 a.m. The 10K walk begins at 7:30 a.m.; the 5K at 7:45 a.m.. Registration is $30. Children and dogs may walk for free.
