Hodads kick off concerts in the park
      The city of Agoura Hills Department of Community Services and the Acorn Newspapers present the first concert in the summer "Concerts in the Park" series for Summer 2009. The Hodads will perform at 6 p.m. Sun., June 21 at Chumash Park, 5550 Medea Valley Drive, Agoura Hills.

Festival to showcase local talent
     CHEERS—Nate Highfield and the Good Cheer band will perform in the Rock the Bubble '09 music festival at The Canyon club on Sun., June 21. The show is one of several planned to showcase local up-and-coming musical talent. The Canyon club is at 28912 Roadside Dr., Agoura Hills. Tickets are $10. Doors open at 3 p.m. The show begins at 4 p.m. Other bands in the festival are: Terminal 6; Flight from Above; Josh Robin; Left on Bromley; and Aces High. For information call (818) 879-5016.

Friends Benefit Concert coming to Sagebrush Cantina July 3
      The Get Together Foundation will host its fifth Friends Benefit Concert at 6 p.m. Fri., July 3 at Sagebrush Cantina, 23527 Calabasas Road in Old Town Calabasas. Headlining the show will be Pacific, a Beach Boys cover band.

Velcro Wall on June 19
      The city of Agoura Hills Department of Community Services and the Agoura Hills/ Calabasas Community Center have teamed up to offer a oneof-a-kind place for young teens to hang out this summer on Friday nights. Friday Night Slammer will begin tomorrow, June 19 with a special inflatable attraction, The Velcro Wall, and will run from 7 to 10:30 p.m.
