Sheriff's Blotter Thieves stole seven computers and monitors and an office printer from a lawyer's office in the 30400 block of Canwood Street May 24. The value of the loss at the Mediterranean office complex was $8,800. According to the sheriff's department, several other burglaries occurred in the same office building over the Memorial Day weekend. One involved the theft of five flat screen monitors worth $1,100 and three computers valued at $2,700. A $1,500 laptop was also reported stolen. Someone made $2,000 worth of purchases using a credit card that had been stolen from a patron at a night club in the 29020 block of Agoura Road May 21. Thieves stole $375 worth of baby formula from the Vons supermarket on Kanan Road May 20. While carrying a duffle bag filled with the stolen goods, the culprit was approached by a store employee who asked to see a receipt. He shoved the employee to the side and ran away. Vandals caused $250 in damages to a car parked in the 5270 block of Colodny Drive May 17. They stole a $50 garage opener during the incident. Calabasas Someone stole a $400 comforter from a laundry room at an apartment complex in the 5660 block of Las Virgenes Road May 25. Vandals caused $1,000 in damages to a car parked at The Commons shopping center May 23. A thief stole a $1,200 off-road motorcycle parked in a stall at a horse ranch in the 26040 block of Mulholland Highway. The incident occurred between April 12 and May 8. Hidden Hills Someone stole a $10,000 Rolex watch from the bedroom of a home in the 25290 block of El Dorado Meadow Road. The incident occurred in February and was only recently reported. Oak Park An assailant broke into someone's home brandishing a gun and demanding money around 1:25 a.m. May 21 in the 5300 block of Oak Park Lane. A vehicle break-in occurred on May 21 in the 5000 block of Blackpool Avenue. Property was stolen from an unlocked vehicle on May 20 or 21 in the 400 block of Burano Court. A similar crime occurred on May 20 or 21 in the 5300 block of Carmento Drive. A home was burglarized between 9:20 a.m. and 1 p.m. May 14 in the 6500 block of Tamarind Street. A burglar possibly entered the home through an unlocked kitchen window. Westlake Village A burglar stole a $300 digital camera and caused $1,500 in damages to the canvas top of a Mustang convertible parked in the 31530 block of Lindero Canyon Road May 17.
