Evangelist to talk about evolution
      Evolution evangelist the Rev. Michael Dowd will give a presentation at 7:30 p.m. Fri., June 12 at Conejo Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 3327 Old Conejo Road, Newbury Park. Dowd is the author of "Thank God for Evolution," a new book endorsed by five Nobel Prizewinning scientists and various religious leaders.

Student guitarists stage show for Manna
      The student guitarists of Guitar For Kids will present a benefit concert at 1:30 p.m. Sun., June 7 in the St. Jude the Apostle Church parish hall, 32032 Lindero Canyon Road, Westlake Village. About 35 youths will perform 37 numbers featuring pop, rock, classical, country, ukulele and hula dancers.

Vacation Bible School slated
      The United Methodist Church of Westlake Village will host Vacation Bible School from 9 a.m. to noon Mon. to Fri., June 22 to 26 at the church, 1049 S. Westlake Blvd. The theme is "Camp E.D.G.E." The camp is open to all children from age 4 through those currently in grade six.
