Community says farewell to Harvey Kern

MOVIN' ON—Harvey Kern, holding the plaque, is a docent at the Reyes Adobe historical site in Agoura Hills. His fellow volunteers honored him for his many years of assistance at the rancho at the May 13 City Council meeting . Kern is moving to Los Angeles after living in Oak Park for 40 years. Among his other volunteer duties, Kern published the Oak Park Update community website, was active with the Oak Park Community Foundation, and served as a tour guide at the Thousand Oaks Gardens of the World.
