Men's store collects clothes for charity

Bob Carriere Menswear will be accepting donations of slightly-used clothing during May for Phoenix House of California.

Clothing donations may be dropped off at Carriere Menswear, 982 S. Westlake Blvd., Ste. 6, Westlake Village.

Phoenix House has served the community since 1979, helping thousands to overcome the problems associated with drug and alcohol abuse and to lead healthy and productive lives.

Some 2,200 adults and teenagers receive treatment each day through more than 20 Phoenix House programs in Southern and Central California.

Chamber mixer begins After 5

The Thousand Oaks-Westlake Village Regional Chamber of Commerce will host an After Five Mixer from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wed., May 20 at Sunset Hills Country Club, 4155 S. Erbes Road, Thousand Oaks.

The event will have networking, refreshments and raffle prizes.

The cost is $2 for Chamber members and $10 for nonmembers. Reservations are not required.
