Final R.A.P. session slated at Calabasas

Calabasas High School will conduct its final RAP (Resolve and Problem Solve) session for the year on Wed., May 13. The program will feature Dr. Jeff Nalin of ECHOMalibu, a treatment program for adolescents struggling with drug abuse, alcoholism, or emotional and behavioral problems.

Joey Levin, a health clerk who launched the RAP program at the school, said Nalin will bring a recovering teen to the session so parents can ask questions that their children may be unwilling to answer.

"Even if your student does not party, they live in an environment where it runs rampant," Levin said. "The more we know as parents, the better we can guide our children."

Nalin's presentation will be televised on Calabasas TV, channel 3.

To protect the anonymity of the audience, only the presenters will be filmed, Levin said.
