Ready behind the wheel

A free traffic safety seminar for teens preparing to obtain a driver's license and their parents will be presented from 7 to 9 p.m. Mon., April 27 in the theater at Calabasas High School, 22855 W. Mulholland Hwy.

The program "Is Your Teen Road Ready?" is sponsored by the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff's Station and Calabasas High.

The program will feature a panel of speakers, including Lost

Hills sheriff's deputies, officials from the California Department of Motor Vehicles and representatives from MADD, Mothers Against Drunk Driving.

Besides hearing firsthand accounts about children who were killed by either reckless or drunken driving, guests will be learn about new laws and licensing requirements that apply to young drivers, said Shari Gillis, Road Ready co-chair.
