Area's top basketball, soccer players earn All-CIF honors
      The CIF-Southern Section has announced its All-CIF teams for boys' and girls' basketball and soccer. In boys' hoops, Thousand Oaks High junior Alex Tiffin was named Player of the Year in Division IIAA. Richard Endres of the Lancers was the division's Coach of the Year. Thousand Oaks' Antonio Lopez made the Division IIAA first team.

      The following members of the Westlake Youth Wrestling club posted top results during the TriCounty Wrestling Association Tournament at Thousand Oaks High: Jacob Orsay finished first in the 77pound, 12andunder division. Aiyanna Pillado was second in the 60pound, 8andunder division.

Agoura grad Wells to play at Northern Michigan
      Eric Wells, a 2007 Agoura High graduate, has signed a National Letter of Intent to play football at Northern Michigan University. Wells, a linebacker, played at College of the Canyons where he led the team in tackles and was a unanimous selection for All-State and All-America.

Marmonte invites Oaks Christian to join league for all sports
Calabasas says it will appeal decision

      The Marmonte League has formally invited Oaks Christian to join its ranks for all high school sports beginning during the 2010-11 season. A league-wide vote was cast during a regularly scheduled monthly meeting Tuesday in Westlake, said Marmonte League president Anna Merriman.
